As we reach the mid-point of 2026, the timeline for CBAM verification is fast approaching. From 1 September 2026, accredited verifiers will be able to register on the CBAM Registry, enabling the commencement of accredited verification activities. In advance of this milestone, manufacturers are strongly encouraged to take proactive steps to prepare for reasonable assurance engagements, which will involve more rigorous scrutiny of data quality, calculation methodologies, and monitoring plans.
