On January 14, 2025, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration proposed a new rule for mandatory Front-of-Package (FOP) nutrition labeling on most packaged foods. This rule aims to highlight 3 nutrients of public health concern (i.e., saturated fat, sodium, and added sugars) on the FOP, using a clear, easy-to-read label to help consumers make healthier choices.
