Intertek renews contract with The Government of Gabon for its Programme Gabonais d’ Evaluation de la Conformité (PROGEC) for exports to Gabon

Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, has extended its contract with the Agence Gabonaise de Normalisation (AGANOR) to continue to support its Conformity Assessment Programme called PROGEC for exports to the country.
The programme verifies the conformity of all regulated products in the respective exporting countries applicable to all products imported into Gabon except for food and pharmaceuticals. This ensures they comply with the applicable Gabonaise technical regulations and quality standards, assuring Gabon's citizens of the quality and reliability of imported goods. Intertek has been supporting the programme since its commencement in 2015.

Exporters to Gabon are required to provide a Certificate of Conformity for Customs clearance in accordance with Government regulation. This certificate can only be obtained from an Approved Inspection Body such as Intertek.
