Electrical Sector – Regulatory Compliance
Intertek EWA-Canada has a long history of conducting vulnerability assessments (VAs) and penetration testing for clients in the energy sector. The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) has published a series of Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards that establish cyber and physical security requirements that apply to the electric power industry. Intertek EWA-Canada can assist electrical sector organizations meet their CIP regulatory compliance. For example, our VA specialists conduct vulnerability assessments that exceed the following current CIP requirements:
- CIP-005-3a R4 – Cyber Vulnerability Assessment; and
- CIP-007-3a R8 – Annual cyber VA of all cyber assets.
We are familiar with the forthcoming CIP Version 5 and we can help you make the transition from CIP Version 3 to CIP Version 5.
